Celebrating 10 Years of Sensoteq

This year marks a major milestone for Sensoteq as the internationally recognised wireless technology company celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Founded in Belfast by Alan McCall and Idir Boudaoud, Sensoteq has grown from a two-person start-up into a globally respected leader in wireless sensing and machine health monitoring technology. Established in 2016, the company was built on decades of combined engineering expertise and a shared vision to revolutionise industrial monitoring through innovative wireless solutions.

From its base at Ormeau Business Park, Sensoteq designs and manufactures advanced wireless sensors that help industries across the world monitor machine performance, reduce costly downtime, improve operational efficiency, and support safer, more sustainable working environments. Their technology is now used across sectors including pharmaceuticals, mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, food and beverage, automotive, and renewable energy.

Over the past decade, the company has built an impressive international footprint, serving customers in more than 50 countries worldwide and supporting thousands of industrial applications globally. What began as an ambitious idea between two innovators has evolved into a globally recognised brand at the forefront of Industrial IoT and predictive maintenance technology.

Sensoteq’s continued growth has also been reflected in the expansion of its team. From just Alan and Idir in the early days, the company has now grown to a headcount of 62 employees, creating highly skilled jobs and contributing to the region’s thriving innovation and technology sector.
